How To Upload Killing Limbaugh to Kindle

For most people (and devices), it’s a snap, flawless – fluid even. But if you encounter a problem uploading to your Kindle, below are step-by-step instructions. Below that are some comments and tips from a convo with a tech-savvy friend (GB) about how to upload it via USB cable. Please feel free to leave your own comments and tips.

Loading From Email

Step 1

Press the “Menu” button on the Kindle and choose the “Settings” option using the five-way controller.

Step 2

Note the Kindle’s unique email address detailed on the Settings page.

Step 3

Attach the ebook to an email, and send it to the Kindle’s email address. You do not need to include a subject line or any text in the body of the email.

Step 4

Turn the Kindle on and press the “Home” button to go to the library. The ebook is added to the Kindle’s library as soon as the email arrives.

Loading With USB

GB: “The book downloaded flawlessly with the link you provided. From the download folder on my computer the book loaded to my Kindle and I now have it open and ready to read. No problems at all. … The only thing that they might be missing is that you manually have to copy the downloaded file to the Kindle. It does not happen automatically like when you get books off Amazon. I hope this helps.

ME: How would she do this ‘manually have to copy’ thing of which you speak?

GB: She would first have to connect her Kindle with the USB cable (her Kindle should show up as a new drive in the directory), then open the folder where her download files are saved and click and drag the book file to the “Documents” folder in the Kindle drive.
